White mushrooms | 3oz |
Dried Porcini mushrooms | as many as you like |
Gnocchi | 7oz |
Parsley | to taste |
Sauce
(Best if mixed together in advance)
Oat milk | 1/3 cup |
---|---|
Vegan White wine | 1/4 cup |
Okonomi Sauce | 3tbsp |
Liquid from soaking Porcini mushrooms | – |
What is OKONOMI SAUCE?
Okonomi Sauce is the signature sauce of Otafuku, the top sauce maker in Japan.
Okonomi Sauce has been refined over the years to be the most perfectly suited sauce for traditional Japanese Okonomiyaki.
Instructions
- Put the Porcini mushrooms in 1/4 cup of water to soak and create a stock. (Leave about 10mins)
After soaking, add the mushrooms to the main dish and the liquid to the sauce.
- Fry the garlic with olive oil in a pan.
- Add onions, mushrooms and porcini mushrooms (after soaking)
- Add the sauce ingredients. Add Okonomi Sauce last and simmer 5 minutes.
- Add the boiled gnocchi to (4), mix and simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Put on a plate to serve and garnish with parsley if you like.
