Lemon pepper sauce recipe contains a variety of wonderful flavors such as pine nuts. Pine nuts are also called pinoli or pignoli. They are the edible seeds of the pine tree. However only some pine trees produce seeds large enough to be worth cultivating.
Recipes with pork are so succulent dipped in sauce with pine nuts. These seeds are rich in protein, fiber, and folate. Additionally pine nuts provide vitamins E, K and a variety of B vitamins as well. Their minerals include calcium, manganese, phosphate, and more.
Pine nuts are a lovely addition to this dish.
Other ingredients for the lemon pepper sauce recipe include water, lemon juice, lemon zest, and rice vinegar. I also add sugar, salt, cornstarch, and black pepper. And last but not least is garlic powder and dried white onions. My favorite recipes with pork like these chops have just a few ingredients.
All you need for the pork chops is 8 (6oz) boneless chops, olive oil, salt, pepper, and a splash of lime juice. I coat the meat with the seasoning and lime juice before pan searing each side for 5 minutes. Then I move them into the oven to finish off cooking for 15 minutes.
While they are in the oven I start making the lemon pepper sauce recipe by grinding up the nuts in my food processor. Then I combine them with the liquid sauce ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes. I then add in the seasoning and whisk them in.
Lastly I add in the cornstarch and whisk again. I allow the sauce to set and chill off in order to thicken a little bit before servings with the delicious pork chops.
