These sandwiches are so delicious and fun to prepare. There’s no cooking required and you can feed a family of 4. I love a good sandwich with avocado recipe. It’s so tasty dipped in this recipe for cocktail sauce too.

Any decent cocktail sauce recipe contains horseradish. The horseradish plant is related to mustard, cabbage, wasabi, broccoli, and radish. It is a root vegetable that is cultivated all around the world and used for condiments and spices. Horseradish sauce is made up of the crushed roots mixed with vinegar or mayonnaise.

This sandwich with avocado recipe tastes really good with the cocktail sauce made with the creamy horseradish version that uses mayonnaise. Total ingredients for the sauce include ketchup, horseradish sauce, and mayonnaise.

I also love to add a dash of liquid smoke, lemon juice, and hot sauce to my recipe for cocktail sauce. The sandwich with avocado also needs about 12 oz of carved deli lunch roasted turkey. I like to get it freshly carved from my local deli. Most grocery stores have packed lunch meat ready to use as well.

This dish makes a great family lunch idea.

Other sandwich ingredients I love to use include whole wheat bread, mozzarella cheese slices, and some salt for the avocado. In order to make the recipe for cocktail sauce simply combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, and horseradish sauce in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk these sauces together then add the liquid smoke, lemon juice, and hot sauce.

Whisk the cocktail sauce one last time and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. It will stay good for a few weeks with the proper seal tight lid. When I make the sandwich with avocado recipe I put the avocado on the bread first.

Next I lay the turkey on top of the avocado, then the cheese, and lastly the lettuce. This recipe makes 4 servings, requires no cooking at all, and takes about 20 minutes to prepare!
