  • Ingredients For The Sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled, minced)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Ingredients For The Stir Fry
  • 1/2 cup dry split pea
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onions
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 2 cups chopped Brussels sprouts
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 3/4 cup sprouts
  • 1 cup chopped purple cauliflower
  • 3/4 cup goat cheese

Instructions

Directions For The Sauce

Brown the garlic in the oil using a sauce pan on medium heat

Add in the rice vinegar and soy sauce and ginger and whisk

Add in the water and whisk

Add in the brown sugar and honey and whisk

Bring to a simmer on medium low heat with the lid on

Cook for 5 minutes

Remove heat, add in the cornstarch, whisk vigorously

Allow to cool for 20 minutes to thicken

Combined onions and oil in a large skillet on medium heat and sauté until the onions are brown.

Then add in the dry split peas and water and put the lid on top of the skillet.

Simmer for about 10 minutes until the peas absorb all the water.

Then add in the purple cauliflower and Brussel sprouts put the lid back on and cook for another 5 minutes.

Remove heat and top with sprouts and goat cheese.
