Bearnaise sauce is so delicious with this easy hamburger steak recipe. That’s because it’s thick, buttery, savory, and salty. You will adore these flavor combinations because they are succulent and mouthwatering.
Bearnaise sauce comes from France which combines butter, egg yolks, vinegar, and various spices.
Bearnaise sauce was popularized after being served at the opening of a restaurant called Le Pavillon Henri IV in 1836 near Paris, France. This flavorful sauce tastes delicious with my easy hamburger steak recipe.
The total ingredients for this sauce include 1/4 cup butter, 1 tsp finely minced shallots, 1 tbsp white wine vinegar, and 2 egg yolks. You will also need 2 tbsp heavy cream, 1 cup chicken broth, and 2 tsp lemon juice. Other tasty flavors I love to use include 1 tsp dried green onions, 1 tsp dried tarragon, and 1 tsp dried parsley.
This easy recipe is perfect for a cozy family dinner.
Last but not least this particular Bearnaise sauce should have 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp yellow mustard, and 1 tsp paprika. Also 2 tbsp cornstarch is the perfect amount for proper thickness. I usually cook the sauce and the easy hamburger steak recipe consecutively on my stove top.
Once I get the ground beef patties frying I melt the butter for the sauce in a separate sauce pan. Then I sauté the shallots before whisking in egg yolks followed by the mustard, heavy cream, and then vinegar. It’s important to allow the vinegar and egg yolks to simmer for about 2 minutes at this point.
The Bearnaise sauce and hamburger steak recipes finish about the same time. Allow them to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before servings. The total preparation time and cooking time is 12 minutes. Additionally this recipe makes 3 servings so it’s perfect for a cozy family dinner.
