Tofu scramble sandwich with spicy Hawaiian vegan dipping sauce is amazing. If you’re looking for a delicious vegan meal idea with a mouth full of flavor, look no further. This plant based sandwich recipe is definitely going to make your day.

Tofu scramble is the vegan version of scrambled eggs. The texture and flavor mimics scrambled eggs in so many ways. However it’s fully vegan and packed with plant based nutrition. Tofu is also known as bean curd. It’s made by coagulating soy milk.

The resulting curds are pressed into solid white blocks with varying degrees of firmness. Tofu scramble is rich in protein, calcium, and iron. Additionally it’s basically absent of carbohydrates making tofu perfect for low carb vegan diets.

The vegan dipping sauce is wonderful as well. It’s a lovely combination of sweet, savory, salty, and tangy. Ingredients for the sauce include water, vinegar, sugar, pineapple juice, and salt. Also corn starch, tomato paste, mango purée, and agave.

Vegan lunch ideas like this are simple and healthy.

I also include ingredients such as minced ginger, lemon juice, soy sauce, and black garlic powder in the vegan dipping sauce recipe. Don’t forget the onion powder and turmeric for extra flavor! Ingredients for the tofu scramble sandwich are super simple also.

All you need is extra firm tofu, vegan mayonnaise, chopped cilantro, and dried green onions. Also salt, pepper, turmeric, and bread. When you start making the tofu scramble sandwich start by manually crumbling up the tofu in a medium mixing bowl. Then add in the seasoning and cilantro and mix.

Next heat the oil using a large frying pan on medium high heat. Once the pan is hot you should add the seasoned tofu mixture to the pan as well. Sauté for about 10 minutes in total before removing from the heat. Allow the tofu scramble to cool off for a few minutes before scooping it into sandwich bread.
